Welcome to the 6th German Culture Festival of the Deaf!
Welcome to the homepage of the 6th Culture Festival from 17th May till 19th May 2018 in Potsdam-Babelsberg. It is the most unique and tremendous festival in Germany hold by the Deaf. That means the whole German Deaf culture will be represented.
Because of our deep relation to German Deaf culture and language, we will be just partly represented online in English. We hope the following sentences will give you the most important facts to know.
The festival will be held at Metropolis Halle under the motto: ‘Our culture with Sign Language: inclusive and equivalent’.
A richly varied program can be expected: performing arts, theater, poetry, different artists and performers. The festival offers as well different workshops, meetings and discussions between professional experts and the audience. Furthermore a wide range of topics from politics, education, theater and comedy.
We hope you get the most important facts about the festival. You can download and print the poster of the festival to distribute it to your company, your association or on other festivals.
Before you start the ticket ordering we warmly recommend reading the following information. Please make sure you have a digital current passport photo ready for identification. You have to upload this to the further ticket system. If you haven’t a valid passport photo by hand during ticket order you can send it afterward via email (none of your data shall be transmitted to third parties!)

Online ordered tickets will be automatically sent via mail during the first quarter of 2018 (January – March).
You can purchase tickets after the third rate at the box office right before the festival beginning. 3-day tickets allow you to enter the three day festival and include the opening ceremony. Gala evening tickets must be purchased before and separately.
There are There are special discounts for members of regional and professional associations which are affiliated to the German Association of the Deaf. Furthermore, there are also discounts to sustaining members with ‘DGB Mitgliedsausweis’ (membership card) of the German Association of the Deaf.
Children and youth till the age of 27 as well as unemployed will get under the proof of document reduced ticket prices. Children under six have free entrance. Please tell us how many children under the age of 6 will come with you.

we would like to inform you about the policy of photo taking and video recording at the festival. During that time there will be video recording and photo taking. With entering the festival you agree to commercial publication.
How to get there?
We proudly announce that the 6th German Culture Festival of the Deaf will be held in Potsdam-Babelsberg at the ‘media city’. The Filmpark Babelsberg is known for their centennial film history in which many popular movies were produced.

- local-traffic RE7 (from Berlin main-station to Dessau main-station), get off at "Medienstadt Babelsberg Bhf"
- S-Bahn S7 to station ‘Postdam Hauptbahnhof or ‘Babelsberg’ and continue by bus line 601 and 690 to stop ‘Filmpark’.
